For a school project, I created a magazine article layout based on an article about the art of lying and how to detect deception. The focal point of the layout is the use of yellow accents strategically placed throughout the pages to draw the reader's attention. To visually convey the theme of deception, I opted for close-up portrait photographs, emphasizing the eyes as a symbol of insight into human behavior. The article's title spans across the pages in large-scale typography, creating a dynamic visual element that spans the width of the layout and engages the reader. While maintaining a grid layout for consistency, I incorporated pull quotes and callouts to highlight key concepts and enhance readability. Through this design approach, I aimed to create a visually compelling and informative magazine article layout that effectively conveys the theme of deception and engages the audience.
