"The Host" is a 2008 science fiction romance novel by Stephenie Meyer that explores a post-apocalyptic Earth invaded by a parasitic alien race known as "Souls." The story follows the predicament of one Soul whose human host resists surrendering her body.

For my illustration inspired by the book, I captured portrait images and manipulated them to create a split-face effect, symbolizing the struggle between the human host and the invading Soul. The dark background and typeface enhance the ominous atmosphere of the illustration, mirroring the tone of the narrative. "The Host" stands out as one of my favorite books, captivating me from later chapters until its conclusion
